Indian Fashion Trend

In many parts of the world has created various forms of fashion and fashion needed for human life. This time an expert fashion designer trying to make the Indian sari clothing, which has become the hallmark of Indian women.

In general, the fashion house pouring inspiration in the form of motifs and silhouettes, Hermes did more than that. French fashion label that indicates a sense of admiration towards Indian culture by presenting a limited collection of saris. "This we do to get closer to India which is a potential market," said Bertrand Michaud, President Hermes India, as reported by AFP.

Furthermore, Michaud said, women in India in general is still attached to the culture despite living in town or even overseas though. "They could be wearing Western-style dress to the office or day-to-day, but on days of religious or marriage, they prefer wearing saris yards," said Michaud. Therefore, Hermes is not playing in capturing Indian sari. "We had the best ability to make saris not only bring the beauty, and reflects the unique culture of India," he said, adding Hermes ties and India as "a love affair".

Hermes brings as many as 28 super-exclusive saris in various colors and patterns that is priced at Rs 300000-400000 (USD6.000-8000). However, the collection presented only limited, and Hermes was not yet have further plans to make the sari as a permanent collection. Although intended for the Indian consumer, the launch of a limited collection of sari cloth was made in Paris. "We want to target the luxury market in India from different angles," said Michaud, who said Hermes would like to be part of India through the sari cloth.

Last year, the strategy of Hermes "closer" to the Chinese market gets a positive response. Hermes presents a new label with the name of Shang Xia which in Mandarin means "top-down". Patrick Thomas, CEO of Hermes, said such a step they take because China is a potential target market. "To attract the attention of consumers, we need something close to them, and Shang Xia is the answer to the Chinese market," Patrick said, referring to the collection of Shang Xia a very Asiatic.

Collection offered was not just limited to clothing, shoes as well, interior decoration products, until Tableware from traditional Asian materials and motifs like bamboo and porcelain. Shang Xia targeting the luxury market of China, Hong Kong, and Macau, which is in the list of Hermes, is the principal market, aka the main market. Sales of luxury products in China reached $ 8, 6 billion in 2008 and when combined with China's consumer spending worldwide, that number ballooned to $ 20 billion. "The idea is to bring the philosophy of Hermes to China and make China Hermesnya," said Thomas.

Hermes Shang Xia will also ensure continued success in the China market. Therefore, the fashion label that is now dinakhodai Christophe Lemaire was not putting the name "Hermes" on purpose. Shang Xia is a separate entity instead show a unique view of Hermes in implementing its business strategy.

Similar strategies are now running Hermes to attract the Indian market. Although the purchasing power of Indian consumers are still lost to China, a country known for it's high cost of the Taj is also a lucrative market for many manufacturers of luxury goods, including Hermes. Limited edition collection of saris that were presented Hermes is also a "preambule" before Hermes opens flagship store in India. Michaud said the new flagship store will be located in Mumbai.
